P.B.L planing

Hello and welcome back to my blog. today I will be sharing with you my planing for my P.B.L that me and Taylor did together

Term 3 PBL Planning Template

My PBL question is…

How can we reduce waste  to ensure our world is sustainable ?

Sub questions:
-How can we make these gifts more appealing to people then the non sustainable ones?
-How can we make these sustainable gifts?
-How can we reduce the waste caused by unnecessary decoration/gifts?

My ideas on this topic already are…
-Get this like plastic bottles and make environmentally friendly gifts that have a purpose and won’t just sit doing nothing on a shelf. And even if they do just serve as a decoration they will still be recyclable and not new plastic.
-Reuse second hand things and turn them into new gifts that are useful!
-We could make a brochure about why you should stop buying useless nic nacs that will just sit on a shelf forever and instead buy or make sustainable gifts that are useful and still pretty and enjoyable.
-For a side project we could make some small sustainable gift for people to look at and get some ideas! There could also be a poster or pamphlet with some sustainable craft ideas.
Research (with links) to current research…
‘There are 500 times more pieces of microplastic in the sea than there are stars in our galaxy and by 2050 it is estimated there will be more plastic than fish.’ -Independent
-We were looking at some videos showing you how to reuse plastic bottles and things to create some awesome gifts.
A prototype of my design looks like…
The help I need from my teachers is…

My checkpoints are:

Week 6: finish plan

Week 7: start making and start our pamphlet

Week 8:finish pamphlet and start poster

Week 9:put all the finishing touches on and complete everything to a high standard.

Week 10: Final product exposition - Wednesday 25 September

thank you for reading my blog
